Food is fuel for your body. In order to keep your body in well working order, you need to ensure you are taking in adequate nutrition. A few of the many benefits to proper nutrition include improved energy levels, healthy digestive functioning, reduced inflammation within the body, and much more.

Exercise is equally important within your lifestyle. Keeping your body moving promotes health, circulation, and oxygenation for the blood; strengthening of your muscles; and also helps to reduce stress levels.

When considering these factors, let us think of your goal as reaching optimum health rather than a target weight.

Restful Sleep & Stress Management

Sleep is a valuable commodity, yet in today's society, it is sadly often neglected. On average, it is recommended that the typical adult needs 7-9 hours of restful sleep. There are many benefits to healthy sleep including (but not limited to) improved cognitive function, recharging the immune system, and balancing to your mood.

Speaking of mood, another important lifestyle factor is healthy stress management. Stress takes a toll on your mind, body, and emotions. We can take a proactive role in reducing our stress levels naturally by using essential oils, journaling, listening to soothing music, massage, and exercise; these are all great ways to relieve stress. 

Reduce Toxic Exposures

There are numerous toxins we expose ourselves to in any given day. They are everywhere. A heavy toxic load can either worsen or lead to many health conditions. Therefore reducing your toxic exposures is a critical factor in your wellness journey.

We can get a good idea of our toxic load by taking a quick inventory of the day-to-day activities/products we experience. In this way, we can begin to get an idea of your toxic exposures.

 

One of the most common places to start is in your cabinets. Check out the list of ingredients and do a little research. If you see some things that make you cringe, chances are there's a natural alternative you can put in its place.
